I Am Ozzy: Grand Central Publishing
We all know him. Biting heads off of bats, a slurred British accent, an immensely popular reality show with his family, and most importantly, his music. He’s the Prince of Darkness, and he has invited us onto his ‘crazy train’ in his new autobiography entitled, “I Am Ozzy.”
Written completely by himself, he tells us the story behind the man we all see; of how he came to be this rock idol adored by so many. Not only does he talk about the partying and rock and roll lifestyle, but he also writes of his childhood and up-bringing. Through the book, we get to see a completely different side of Ozzy, previously unknown to his adoring fans. You would never think he was once a normal kid in a dumpy neighborhood, stealing things for fun, or that he worked at a slaughter house, would you?
He also speaks of his Black Sabbath days, and touring life. He tells the readers all about how the band gave groupies nicknames like “The Witch,” and how he didn’t get a lot of good looking ladies during his this time period, seeing as how more men than women came to the shows. He also tells us how biting heads off of creatures began, starting with a single dove, and even comments on Sharon’s reaction to his madness.
Overall, it’s everything an Ozzy fan could possibly want to know. His crazy, insane, and fast-paced life is now displayed for all to see, along with 16 pages of photographs, documenting important and comical events. He started out as John Michael Osbourne, grew out of the small town he lived in, and started chaos all over the globe. And boy does this Metal God have a tale to tell. Don’t believe me? Well then, see for yourself. Get reading!
The book will be released in the US on January 25, 2010. He will be doing appearances to promote the book. You can go to: http://www.msopr.com/?q=node/5185 to find out when and where the signings will take place.
