Day 2 was probably the busiest day of the four days for us at Backstageaxxess.com. Unfortunately, we missed Yamaha's debut of the new rockstar drum kit with Sully Erna. This did not dampen our spirits though, as we were off to get as much as possible to make up for what we missed out on. First was an interview with Devon Allman for Fuch’s Audio Technology. He's a great guy and a new CD will be coming your way called “Space Aged Blues.” He also was there to promote his new signature Devon Allman amplifier that you can only get from Fuch's Audio. Next up was Backstageaxxess.com “being one of the fans” and standing in line for legendary bassist Geezer Butler. He showed up about an hour late and put our entire schedule into a quandary.
We made it over to Neal Schon’s booth, but our interview had to be pushed back to later in the day due to the turnout of fans that waited for Neal at his booth. After this, we made it over to see Mick Thomson of Slipknot. We were granted an interview, so we waited patiently for Mick to wrap up with the fans and the heads of Seymour Duncan. That interview can be viewed here: http://www.backstageaxxess.com/index.php/interviews/192-mtslipknotint.
Next was our interview with legendary guitarist Neal Schon of Journey. You can check out that interview here: http://www.backstageaxxess.com/index.php/interviews/191-nealschonint Then we proceeded to be able to grab longtime friend of Backstageaxxess.com, Buckcherry guitarist Stevie D., to talk about his longstanding relationship with Marshall Amplifiers and what’s next up for his band. The day was wrapped up by witnessing a reunion of sorts. Derrick St. Holmes and Ted Nugent played some songs together in the Paul Reed Smith room located upstairs. It was a treat as the room was totally jammed packed. Another packed and fun-filled day to say the least. Here is some of the action...
